RahRah4Good is run by Jan Swanberg and Ed Forman, a couple from San Francisco, California. During a visit to East Africa in 2012 Jan and Ed noticed the paper bead jewelry made by local women. They were touched by the stories of the women who created the beadsfamilies torn apart by war, rampant genocide and the devastation of AIDS. In 2013, Jan and Ed worked in West Africa and met other artisans who were overcoming great obstacles. They thought, What small steps could we take to help these artisans increase their sales? Can we help them raise their families from poverty? After discussing these issues with the artisans, RahRah4Good was born.
RahRah4Good is an early stage venture focusing on fans of several top ranked college football teams, including University of Oregon, University of Alabama, Baylor, and USC. Products for additional universities are planned.
